Status of the stationary battery park in Russia

The status and structure of the stationary battery park in the Russian Federation are analyzed. The enterprises of the Atomic Power Ministry, Ministry of Defence, YeES Rossii Corp., Gasprom Corp., ZhD Rossii Corp., regional (municipal) power systems, communication services, transport, metro, heavy and medium engineering works are the main consumers of this kind of power sources. The stationary battery park is shown to consist of SK flood batteries (made at the Kursk battery works) and SN VRLA (made in Yugoslavia), the average service life exceeding 15 years. The analysis has shown that the development strategy of this segment of batteries should be designed.
