Main trends in chemical power source design at NIAI Istochnik Corp

It is a review of the main directions of scientific investigations, design and technological developments which are carried out in Joint Stock Company «Research & Design Battery Institute "Istochnik"» (Saint-Petersburg). These developments include the modernisation of cells and batteries on the basis of traditional electrochemical systems (lead-acid, nickel-cadmium, nickel-hydrogen and others) and works on development of new perspective pover sources, such as rickel-metal hydride and lithium- ion cells and batteries.
